Adobe Photoshop slider stuck and Symbol font bugs recognized

Adobe Photoshop is one of the most powerful and feature-rich photo editing tools available on Windows and macOS. It is used by many professionals, organizations and businesses around the world.

It was originally introduced in 1990 and since then this software has grown into a popular tool in graphic editing and digital art.

But lately some Photoshop users are complaining about several issues with this software where the symbol fonts do not display the correct characters and the cursor gets stuck while using the transform tool.

Adobe Photoshop stuck cursor and Symbol fonts issues are likely annoying Windows users, as we haven’t encountered such issues with macOS users.

When users try to use the transform tool by double-clicking on an image, the cursor sticks to the element, causing them to transform anyway. It gets boring especially when they just wanted to move the image instead of resizing it.

Dear all –
Somehow I lost the ability to use Symbol fonts in Photoshop. The name “Symbol” is still in the drop-down menu, but all I get are squares instead of letters.
The operating system is Windows 10, 64 bit if that helps.

On the other hand, users cannot use Symbol fonts in Photoshop either. Although the Symbol option still displays in the drop-down menu, it only displays squares instead of letters.

Fortunately, an Adobe employee recognized the Symbol issue and provided a workaround that affected users can try for now.

I asked engineering to investigate because I can reproduce. There is a workaround. Open the Glyphs panel and you can select text boxes and double click on the glyph in the Glyphs panel to fill it. (Source)

Additionally, the issue with the transform tool was also noticed by an Adobe employee. They say this bug has been identified and the team is currently working to fix it.

However, no ETA has been provided as to exactly when this bug will be permanently fixed. We hope the developers will fix this issue as soon as possible.

With that said, we’ll keep you updated on the progress of Adobe Photoshop’s stuck cursor issue and Symbol font bugs as we notice anything new.
