As a Wedding and Events Coordinator, Kristin Baisden has seen a huge need among clients for custom signage and calligraphy. She often offered to help her couples with signage, and in Lovely Arrow Designs, she found her rhythm with whimsical, handwritten wedding offerings.
“I don’t like to do cookie-cutter stuff. I love to do custom art, ”Baisden says. “I want to incorporate something into the event of each person who represents them. I want to personalize it for them and give the event a bit of personality as well.
Lovely Arrow offers wedding signs, place cards, menus, table numbers, seating charts, bar signs and more. Besides being a talented calligrapher, Baisden is a hand artist, illustrator, and designer, and can also do window art, wall art, and illustrations. A favorite offering lately is personalized cards, which can be included as part of a luxury invitation suite.
In the age of Pinterest, Baisden is always excited when she gets a client with a vision or theme that is a little different from current trends.
“I shine when you give me settings, but let me be creative,” she says.
Baisden has always enjoyed working with couples, since her days as a wedding coordinator.
“It’s the happiest day of their lives, something they’ve dreamed of since they were little,” she says. “Weddings are the day you can be with all the people you love. Everyone who matters to you comes together in one room, and it may not happen again in your life. Even just being a small part of that is great for me.
Her goal is to make every wedding day of her clients memorable and beautiful. His hope, always, is that someone will choose to take the place cards or handwritten menus home as a keepsake.
“I like to do pretty things, and it’s always a learning process,” Baisden says. “It is practice makes perfect.”
