Published by independent publisher Blue Crow Media and printed on heavyweight paper by a family-owned printer, the Brutalist calendar 2022 (£24) celebrates Brutalist architecture around the world. Produced in a limited edition, the layout and lettering of the calendar perfectly match the photographs of these concrete icons. Measuring 340 x 240mm when closed and 340 x 490mm when open, this calendar includes 12 black and white photographs.

A3 wall bracket

Kaleidoscopic and luminous, the A3 wall bracket (£ 18) is a risograph printed calendar from Gabriella Marcella’s design and printing studio, Risotto. Made in Glasgow from recycled paper, this calendar is packed with vibrant hues for each month and uses ombre to highlight weekends and the lunar phases.

Agenda of the brochure

A slender 2022 planner that measures just three by four inches, Smythson’s 2022 Agenda of the brochure ($ 59) comes in a scarlet red cross grain lambskin with pale blue feather paper with gold edges. The pocket planner is structured around a weekly layout, with dates ranging from November 5, 2021 to January 22, 2023. Made in England, this small calendar can be personalized as well.


the Calendar 2022 TOILET PAPER ($ 23) offers all the surreal, daring and sultry imagery that fans of artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari’s magazine are used to. This year’s food theme includes everything from microphones to chicken drumsticks to women sitting on fruit pies, placing this calendar somewhere between the ’70s cookbook and kitsch pin-ups. Juicy, shiny, and quirky, it’s a playful way to keep track of your days.

Astrology Calendar

From Small Spells (directed by Rachel Howe) comes a mystical yet playful astrology calendar ($ 30) featuring Howe’s delicious hand-drawn illustrations. With relevant information like when a new moon is in Aquarius, the calendar is full of esoteric and astrological dates that will help you prepare for the days, weeks, and months to come. LA-based Howe also offers astrology and tarot readings (currently virtual), as well as reiki workshops and treatments. Available as a physical calendar, it is also offered as a a PDF download ($ 20) to keep on your desktop.

Tom of Finland 2022 wall calendar

Produced by Peachy Kings and printed on heavyweight paper, this Tom of Finland 2022 wall calendar ($ 22) includes 13 figurative illustrations by the pioneering queer artist. The classic Tom of Finland characters – some clothed, some nude, all bulging – make each month an extraordinary month.

Typodarium 2022

With 365 typefaces from 248 typographers from 35 countries, this calendar, created by Lars Harmsen and Raban Ruddigkeit, is a source of inspiration for lettering enthusiasts and designers. In a lilac box (which also serves as storage for archiving favorite fonts), Typodarium 2022 (€ 20) marks every day with bold, eye-catching, whimsical and fresh fonts, from ornamental writing to noble serifs. On Sundays and public holidays, the font featured was made by hand, using scissors, pencils, stamps or masking tape.

David Shrigley Calendar

Printed on FSC accredited paper, this official document David Shrigley Calendar ($ 18) is packed with quirky, scary and sweet illustrations from the multidisciplinary artist. From drawings of drunken stupors to domestic anxieties and dog accidents, this humorous calendar – complete with a dozen stickers – is a fitting and functional collection of Shrigley’s art.

Club Deadbeat Calendar

From LA-based independent publisher (and roaster) Deadbeat Club comes this limited edition 2022 calendar ($ 30), featuring photographs, color washes, personalized letters and personal doodles from contemporary artist and skateboarder Ed Templeton. Measuring 12 x 13 inches, with a Wire-O binding, the pages vary between two-color offset artwork in color and black and white.

Intentional wall calendar

Filled with thoughtful notes, important astrological dates, monthly moods and inspirational ideas, Wilde House Paper’s Intentional wall calendar ($ 34) also serves to organize time and remind yourself to be your best. Made from 100% recycled paper, the calendar is complemented by a relaxed and minimalist typeface, the perfect composition for her beautiful messages.

Jump points calendar

Made in Germany, 2022 Jump points calendar ($ 45) displays the days of the month vertically. Punching each date – daily – reveals a vibrant color underneath. Measuring 38 x 14 inches, this whimsical and eye-catching calendar organizes the year in bright, light hues.
