Patna, May 11 (UNI) Several government offices were ravaged by a fire that broke out in Vishveshvaraiya Bhawan on Wednesday morning. Official sources said here that the fire started in the morning, after which more than six firefighters, with an hydraulic ladder, rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire. The NDRF team and the airport’s special fire-extinguishing devices were brought in to help the firefighters. The seventh floor of a recently constructed building scheduled to open the same day was badly damaged. The hell caused massive damage to the office’s archives and equipment, but there was no loss of life. Some workers trapped in the building were rescued by firefighters. Meanwhile, Director General of Home Guard and Fire Services Sobha Ahotkar supervised the entire firefighting at the scene.
