Islamic Arts Festival returns to Houston on December 11-12

The 8th Annual Islamic Arts Festival returns to Houston at Masjid Al Salam, 16700 Old Louetta Rd. In the spring, December 11-12, with a virtual event alongside the in-person festivities.

Last year, the Islamic Arts Festival, organized by the Islamic Arts Society, drew 22,000 visitors to its online-only event. The Islamic Arts Festival features artists doing henna, calligraphy, painting, and activities for all ages.

“The Islamic Arts Society aims to share the rich heritage of Islamic arts,” says the association’s website. “The company organizes events to celebrate our culture and promote the positive image of our community among Muslims and non-Muslims. Art is a common language and links diverse communities. By promoting Islamic arts, we hope to promote mutual understanding and bring together the American community at large. “
