Mattel Television announces two new special Barbie® promotions in 2021

  • “Barbie & Chelsea The Lost Birthday,” the first content to feature Barbie’s little sister in a lead role, will launch on broadcasters and streaming services around the world starting this spring.

(NASDAQ: MAT) today announced the upcoming launch of two brand new Barbie Special Animations. “Barbie & Chelsea The Lost Birthday,” the first dedicated TV movie starring Chelsea, Barbie’s younger sister, will launch worldwide on broadcasters and streaming services this spring. The second special, which follows last year’s hit “Barbie Princess Adventure”, will be a musical that will follow Barbie and her friends to New York.

Directed by Cassi Simonds (“Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures”), “Barbie & Chelsea The Lost Birthday” tells the story of Chelsea, Barbie’s precocious younger sister, and the rest of the Roberts family as they go on a cruise adventure for his seventh birthday. . When they cross the international date line, Chelsea discovers that her true birthday has been lost and she embarks on a fantastic journey through an enchanted jungle island in order to save her.
